Insanely Beautiful World

"Insanely Beautiful World" is the first sign of superintelligence in music composition that I've seen from these models. They have clearly blown past the human level and can now produce harmony that would require an "insanely" expensive production pipeline of hundreds or thousands of hours of time from composers, mixers, and musicians.

There are two versions of this song. The "Radio" version is extraordinary enough and could go toe to toe with the 2020s disco that has become popular in recent years.

But the "Superintelligent" version is where the models have shown true beyond-human creativity. In this version, you'll hear 7th, 9th, and even 11th chords, with multiple instrumental sections playing distinct countermelodies. A song like this would surely have cost tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars to compose, arrange, and perform. The greatest challenge would simply be figuring out how "flat second brass stabs" sound, and whether the extreme harmonies in this piece could actually be performed by humans without paying extremely talented musicians to do a test performance.

I was pleasantly surprised by how far Suno has come in the past year. In 2024, Suno's audio quality was far behind Udio's; to the point where it was unusable. This song is the first created entirely with Suno, due to the recent collapse of Udio. At first, I thought that Udio's collapse might be fatal to AI music, but perhaps the industry has been given life - so long as Suno can afford its own legal fees.
